Cloud Architect (AWS & Azure)

A regional industry leader in the resources and energy sector is looking for a Cloud Architect to drive their multi-cloud strategy, with AWS as the primary platform. You will define and evolve the organisation’s cloud reference architecture, landing zone design, security baselines and governance frameworks. The role involves working closely with enterprise architecture, security, platform and application teams to ensure consistency and compliance across AWS and Azure environments. You will also lead major migration and modernisation initiatives and act as a trusted advisor to senior technology leadership. We are seeking someone with 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or senior cloud engineering roles, including significant hands-on design experience on AWS. Strong knowledge of networking, identity, security controls, cost management and infrastructure-as-code is required. Experience with Azure and hybrid connectivity is important. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is expected; additional Azure certifications are advantageous. This position offers a salary package of $190,000 – $230,000 + super, hybrid working (primarily Brisbane-based with occasional travel), and the chance to influence a large-scale digital transformation program.
