Cloud Platform Engineer

A government-focused technology organisation is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to help build and operate their internal developer platform on AWS in Canberra. You will design and implement self-service capabilities, CI/CD tooling, observability, security guardrails and cost management features that enable development teams to deliver faster and more securely. Technologies include AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, CodePipeline), Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps practices and modern monitoring stacks. You will also provide support and guidance to application teams. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience in platform, DevOps or cloud engineering roles with strong AWS and infrastructure-as-code skills. Experience with Kubernetes, developer experience tooling and security-as-code is highly valued. Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required. This role offers a salary of $145,000 – $170,000 + super, hybrid working, and the opportunity to shape a modern platform used across multiple teams.
