Data Analyst – AWS & Analytics

A mid-sized SaaS company is looking for a Data Analyst who is comfortable working with AWS analytics services to join their growing insights team in Sydney. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming and analysing data stored primarily in Amazon Redshift and S3. Day-to-day work includes writing complex SQL, building and maintaining dashboards in QuickSight or Tableau, performing ad-hoc analysis for product and commercial stakeholders, and ensuring data quality and consistency. You will also collaborate with data engineers to improve pipelines and data models. We expect strong SQL skills, solid experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Redshift preferred), and proficiency in Python or R for more advanced analysis. Familiarity with AWS Glue, Athena or dbt is highly desirable. You should be able to translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role. Experience in a product-led or subscription business is a bonus. This is a hybrid role offering a salary in the range of $110,000 – $140,000 + super, flexible hours, and the opportunity to shape how data is used across the organisation.
