AWS Solutions Architect

Our client, a well-established professional services firm, is looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join their cloud consulting practice in Melbourne. In this role you will engage with enterprise clients to understand their business and technical challenges, then design secure, scalable and cost-optimised solutions on AWS. You will lead architecture workshops, produce high-level and detailed design documents, support migration and modernisation programs, and provide hands-on guidance during implementation. You will also contribute to pre-sales activities, proposal writing and knowledge sharing within the team. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of experience in cloud architecture or senior engineering roles, with at least 4 years focused on AWS. You should have deep knowledge across compute, networking, storage, databases, security and serverless services. Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, multi-account landing zones, and Well-Architected Framework reviews is essential. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional is strongly preferred. Excellent stakeholder management skills are required — you will regularly present to both technical teams and C-level executives. Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare or government is a plus. The role offers a salary package of $180,000 – $220,000 + super + bonus, hybrid working arrangements, and clear pathways into principal or practice leadership positions.
